Grassroot citizens groups like the FFE must unequivocally maintain the ability to access public records for all election information. It is fundamental to uphold the principles of transparency, ensure equal representation, prevent voter suppression, and provide legal safeguards. It also serves as protection against fraud, promotes civic engagement, and ensures that the voices of all citizens are heard and represented in the election process.
These are some of the recommendations we are currently putting forward. We acknowledge that various other organizations have been diligently working on additional recommendations, especially in the areas of verifying citizenship, auditing process and Chain of Custody & Security. We strongly support their efforts, our current focus revolves around presenting the data we have gathered from records requests and personal observations conducted across the state.
The Florida Fair Elections Coalition is dedicated to upholding election integrity at every level. We have collectively sought information from Supervisors of Elections across the state. Our findings indicate that there have been very few reports of violence or harassment. Those incidents were resolved, assuring the security and orderliness of the election process. To reiterate, transparency in our election process is upheld through the public records request process. It is of utmost importance to safeguard citizens' ability to verify all election and voter information, data and records to ensure adherence to the Florida rules and statutes. Without this fundamental access, who will be responsible for holding the Supervisor of Elections accountable?
